           There are many people who consider Gaming as a religion. Many are passionate of playing  There are millions of people who play games on consoles and PCs. Considering the console gaming there is no need to configure the game setting for video performance since the game itself is optimized during development for best performance in consoles like Xbox360 and PS3. Nvidia did a lot of benchmarks and research with almost all latest games like Assassin’s Creed 3, Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 3, Far Cry 3 and the list goes on. With these results Nvidia constructed a cloud data center which will be used by the gamer through GeForce Experience application. GeForce Experience is a GUI application which will set the best setting for the game which you are playing for best game performance and experience for your PC based on your CPU, GPU, RAM and Monitor with the help of the Nvidia’s cloud data center.

         The beta GeForce Experience application is currently available for Windows Vista, 7 and 8. the support for Windows XP will be extended in later version.

          Ericsson has developed a new video codecs called High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) or H.265 which is claimed to use only half the bit rate of the currently used video standard H.264( which accounts for almost 80% of the internet video). Video codecs are used in the digital world to encode data for transmission and decode it for playback.

          The current generations electronic devices like Smartphones, Tablets, Televisions displays etc comes with a very high resolution which requires high internet bandwidth to get the full capability of the display while watching videos on the internet. To stream a video in next generation 4K displays(with 4K resolution) it requires 4 times the bandwidth compared to bandwidth required to watch Full-HD video.
 
        With the upcoming video codec High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) or H.265 it is possible to watch a Full-HD video with the same bandwidth which is required for watching a HD video in H.264 format. Also this format can support video resolution upto 8K(8192×4320).

          Once this format comes into standard, it will become possible to see high quality videos with less bandwidth and which in-turn means it requires less hard disk space for storage.

              Who wins the battle? It purely depends on the user because both the version has its own advantage and disadvantage. The disadvantage of  Microsoft Surface Pro version is that it delivers almost half the battery life compared to the Microsoft Surface. The reason is its high end hardware specification.  But the advantage is that it capable of running any application that can be run on a Windows 7 desktop system which is not possible in Microsoft Surface tablet. Both the tablets come with 1-year limited hardware warranty.

           If you are a casual user Microsoft Surface is highly enough. If you want to run high end applications the Pro version gives the way. The Microsoft Surface 32GB and 64GB is already available for $499 and 699$ respectively. The 64GB version includes a touch cover(ultra slim keyboard which can be used with both Microsoft Surface and Microsoft Surface Pro). 

The Surface Pro 64GB and 128GB version is priced for $899 and $999 respectively, but without the touch cover.

               Remember the movie Iron Man where Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man) uses his hands to control the computers and huge displays. Have you ever thought of having such technology with you? Here it comes, Leap Motion – a touch free motion sensing controller where you can use your hands to control the Desktops or laptops. The product “Leap” is under development by a start-up company Leap Motion which was founded in 2010. The USB device which is sized around 2x4x1 inch will rest on a plain surface facing upwards and it creates a virtual 3D interaction space of size roughly around 8 cubic feet above it. The user can perform gestures with his hands without a single touch over the device to control the desktop or laptop.

           The device can be used for various kinds of applications which includes Gaming, Interactive CAD (Computer Aided Designing), Graphic Designing, Engineering controlling a computer for general use and many more. The Leap is more accurate that it can track your individual finger movements to 1/100th of a millimeter. Kinect which is also a full body motion sensing controller for Xbox360, is not as accurate as the Leap. But the leap lags in the range compared to the Kinect. But the company will develop with higher ranges for sure in near future.
