The technology we use has changed a lot. We control the technology with voice, hand gestures, eye and many more. Control of electronic devices like smartphones and televisions are controlled with voice with the use of latest technology in hardware and software. In advanced televisions and gaming consoles like Xbox, the system is able to track hand and other body movements. With such great innovation we have our next innovation in line up which is named MYO from Thalmic Labs,a wearable wrist band which tracks the movement of hand and fingers.
For each movement in our body, there is a corresponding movement in our muscle. MYO which fits just above the wrist tracks the hand and finger movements by tracking the movement in the muscle and such muscle activity is converted into wireless signal which is sent to electrical devices like computer, laptop or a smartphone.
MYO has the capability to control presentations, video, content, games, browse the web, create music, edit videos and many more. The developers from other field (like smartphone, gaming console) are coming forward to develop application which can be used with MYO. Currently the MYO is supported by Windows and Mac operating system and soon the APIs will be released for Android and iOS.
