PlayStation & Xbox – The Legendary Fight. The latest news is that Sony has unveiled its latest next generation console PlayStation 4 in Sony press conference. The hardware specification of the console was announced by the company. But the console was not displayed which is the sad part.
The hardware specification include a CPU with eight AMD x86 Jaguar cores, a custom AMD Radeon HD core with multi-channel GDDR5 memory. The console is built with 8GB GDDR5 memory which is the 16 times to that of memory present in PlayStation 3. Such a high leap of increase in memory is for the developers to make the game much better.
The console comes with a read-only optical drive will read Blu-ray discs at 6x (marking an upgrade from 2x speeds found on the PlayStation 3) and DVDs at 8x. The console also includes a hard drive, but the capacity of the hard drive was not specified.
DualShock4 is the main controller which connect to the console via Bluetooth 2.1, with a two-point capacitive touch pad. The additional features of the controller will include motion detection with a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer and improved vibration. The controller will include 3.5 mm jack which will support for both audio & mic capability and a micro-USB port for USB charging. The controller is powered by 1000mAh non-removable rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The controller will feature a special Share button which can be used to directly share the contents of the screen to the social networking sites, upload videos, connect to friends, live stream their game to their friends and many more.
PlayStation 4 Eye, the redesigned motion sensing device comes with two 1280×800px cameras which supports 85° field of view with increased accuracy of sensing.
